Quitting is not easy, so getting help from others is key to
quitting. Ask your friends and family to help you. You can also
gain assistance from others that are going through the same process through
online quit communities.
KillTheCan.org (http://www.killthecan.org)
is dedicated to helping people break their addiction to smokeless tobacco, dip,
snuff and chewing tobacco. The site is completely free to use and is
loaded with content about quitting smokeless tobacco, quit calculators, cancer
pictures, facts about smokeless and cancer, etc. They also offer a
free anonymous quitter's community located at
http://forum.killthecan.org where quitters can go to get questions
answered and get the support they need to quit and stay quit. It is
moderated by ex-dippers who's goal is to help people break their addiction
to smokeless tobacco.

| There are two methods that we recommend to quit
using smokeless tobacco: |
|
Cold Turkey
Just stop using smokeless tobacco. This sounds simple, but
it isn't as easy as it sounds. We recommend switching directly from
smokeless tobacco to using Hooch Snuff.
-
Pick a date and stick with it. Ask your friends and family
to help you.
-
In the initial stages, you will feel anxious due to the nicotine
withdrawal. This will last a few days. Be sure not to regress back
to smokeless tobacco as this will further prolong the process.
-
Be sure to have plenty of Hooch Snuff on hand. It
will help with the physical cravings, but not the anxiousness. You
will find your cravings will drive you to use Hooch Snuff intially more than
you would smokeless tobacco, so plan accordingly.
-
Once you have gone through the hard part (withdrawal symptoms
can last up to two weeks), you can use Hooch Snuff to satisfy the oral
cravings.

Titration Method
The titration method involves slowly weaning yourself off the
nicotine in smokeless tobacco by mixing it with increasing amounts of Hooch
Snuff. It takes longer than the Cold Turkey method, but provides less
anxiousness.
-
Set a schedule and stick with it. Once again, ask your
friends and family to help you.
-
Start by mixing Hooch Snuff with your smokeless tobacco in a 1
to 1 ratio. Mix 1 tin of smokeless tobacco with 1 tin of Hooch
Snuff. This will reduce the nicotine your body receives in each
use. Continue this for a few days, based on the schedule you planned.
-
Slowly increase the amount of Hooch Snuff in the mixture and
continue with each increase for a few days.
-
You will find sooner than you would think that you can change to
100% Hooch Snuff.
